Photos
When you use the photo verification feature, you take photos of your completed habits (such as your made bed). These photos are:
- Sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for verification analysis
- Not stored on our servers or Anthropic's servers after processing
- Processed only to verify your habit completion
- Not used to train AI models
Health Data (Optional)
If you grant permission, the app accesses the following data from Apple HealthKit:
- Sleep Analysis: Used to track your sleep goal progress and display sleep duration
- Step Count: Used to track your daily step goal progress
- Workout Data: Used to verify exercise habit completion
This health data is:
- Read directly from Apple HealthKit on your device
- Never transmitted to external servers
- Used solely to display your health metrics and track goal progress within the app
- Not shared with any third parties
Account Information
If you use Sign in with Apple:
- We receive your Apple ID identifier
- Your email (if you choose to share it)
- Your name (if you choose to share it)
Usage Data
The app stores locally on your device:
- Your habit tracking history and streaks
- App settings and preferences
- Subscription status
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- Verify your habit completions through AI-powered photo analysis
- Track and display your progress and streaks
- Display health metrics from Apple HealthKit (if enabled)
- Send notifications about goal completion (if enabled)
- Process subscriptions through Apple's App Store
- Sync data across your devices (if signed in)
3. AI-Powered Features
AI Disclosure: Morning Proof uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze photos and verify habit completion. When you submit a photo for verification, it is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not retained by Anthropic after processing. This AI analysis is used solely to determine whether your habit has been completed.
4. Third-Party Services
Morning Proof uses the following third-party services:
Anthropic (Claude AI)
Photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for habit verification analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data processing. Photos are processed in real-time and not stored or used for AI training.
Apple Services
- Sign in with Apple: For authentication
- StoreKit: For processing subscriptions
- HealthKit: For accessing health data (with your explicit permission)
- Family Controls: For the optional app blocking feature
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage systems. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including:
- Local data encryption via iOS security features
- Secure transmission of data using HTTPS
- No storage of photos on external servers
- Health data remains on-device and is never transmitted externally
6. Data Retention
Your habit data and preferences are stored on your device until you:
- Delete the app
- Use the "Delete Account & Data" feature in Settings
- Manually delete your data
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (visible within the app)
- Delete your data using the "Delete Account & Data" feature
- Revoke permissions for Camera, Photos, and Health at any time in iOS Settings
- Opt out of health data tracking
8. Children's Privacy
Morning Proof is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
